Who Do I Watch On YouTube?

oliviarowell

YouTube, I am sure you spend a lot of time watching or have done at some point in your life. In this blog post, I am going to tell you about the YouTubers I am always watching!

DVG (Dad V Girls)

Dad V Girls are also known as DVG Fam are 100% my favourite to watch. I was never really into watching YouTube until a few years ago when I walked into my sister watching Dad V Girls and I was fascinated by what I was watching. The YouTube channel is created by a family that consists of a mum, dad and five daughters. So that’s where the name comes from because Joel (the dad) is clearly outnumbered by girls.

The content is so varied which is what I like. They do challenges, show what family life is like, days out, film significant events, etc. The children vary in their ages so there is something for everyone. For example, their oldest daughter Kaci is 17 so her content and contribution appeals to me. Kaci also has her own YouTube channel where she has even created videos with Love Islanders. Grace who is just a couple of years younger than Kaci also has her own YouTube channel so again I also enjoy watching that. They also have their own merch (DVG Fam) which includes things like hoodies. Most recently they created another clothing range called Des Vu which literally sells out as soon as they do a new drop. I am yet to invest but the tracksuits look like the comfiest things ever.

They tend to post new videos twice a week however this is currently only once a week. There is no way that I could pick a favourite video, no chance at all! Watching their videos massively chills me out if I am feeling stressed or fixes my boredom, I must be honest I watch their videos repeatedly.

They currently have 1.29 Million subscribers!!!

Here is their most recent video which documents their journey to Dubai for a family holiday.

Anastasia Kingsnorth

I have watched Anastasia since I began watching YouTube. I love everything about her videos, particularly when her Mum Julie and little brother Atticus make an appearance. Now, her Mum has recently started her own YouTube channel and I may only be 21 but I am now finding myself watching Anastasia’s Mums videos! After seeing some recent videos on the FYP on TikTok I have learned that I am not alone, and a lot of Anastasia's watchers/fans are also watching her Mum’s videos.

I really like how varied her content is and her videos include vlogs with her family, friends, day in the life, holidays, challenges etc. There is always something new and exciting to watch! I am not 100% sure which one of Anastasia's videos would be my favourite as I enjoy watching her PR hauls but also love her family vlogs. Her most recent PR video was 'Exciting PR Haul! Opening Parcels From Brands'. I find it so exciting to see all the different products she gets from different brands; it would be an absolute dream to be on a PR list or work with a brand to promote their products through social media and what they do. I want a career in social media/marketing therefore working with/for brands is something that I want to do and feel passionate about.

Saffron Barker

I must admit, I still watch Saffron Barkers YouTube videos but not as much as I used to. I wouldn’t say there is any reason, but I have kind of just drifted away slightly. However, I still love Saffron’s content and have been watching her videos since I started watching YouTube. She is also good friends with Anastasia Kingsnorth, another YouTuber I watch, so it is nice to see the pair working together too sometimes.

One of my favourite videos is 'Christmas PRESENT Swap NO BUDGET ft Anastasia!!😱what my best friend got me for Christmas!!' I love this video on Saffron’s channel. To be honest I love all videos like this on YouTube from all YouTubers that I watch as I think they are great for ideas and inspiration for gift buying. I also find the opening of presents and reactions interesting, giving presents is one of my favourite things so I enjoy stuff like this. Likewise, I also like videos such as shopping challenges or a shopping challenge on a budget.

Olivia Neil

I have only very recently started watching Olivia Neil on YouTube and am starting to get into her videos a bit more. She has a lot of fashion-based content too which I like to see, and I am studying fashion communication at university, so it all fits in with my interests. Her gorgeous white fluffy cat Phill normally makes an appearance too!

One of my favourite videos on her channel is ‘My first Paris fashion week’

I like how she vlogs the before the show and getting ready kind of thing as that’s all part of the build-up. It was also nice to get a little sneak peek of the show, it looked amazing! To be honest, the whole trip seemed amazing, and it is something I would love to experience. Attending a fashion show in Paris, what more could a girl want!

Molly-Mae

Molly-Mae’s YouTube channel is another one of my favourites. Since Love Island, I think she has come so far and is now a completely different person. She has so much gone on and I think it is evident how passionate she is about what she does. She has her own hair range, YouTube channel, PLT collection and is now even the creative director at PLT! Of course, one of her next big things will be her book she has coming out in the summer which I have already pre-ordered. I know that Love Island gave her a bit of a platform, but she has still managed to work hard and secure all these amazing things which I see as being such a big achievement at a young age. I hope she keeps continuing to thrive. Anyway, her YouTube channel… I can’t wait for her videos to be uploaded because I feel that they are such a nice and easy watch. It sort of feels like a girly catch up when I watch her videos as she just acts herself which I find good to see as I feel like some influencers can come across as being fake. This isn’t the case at all! Her content is so varied too. I particularly like when she posts videos such as spend the week with me or spend the day with me. It is quite nice to see what sort of stuff she gets up to and how she fits in work with her day-to-day life etc. and, if you don’t watch her YouTube or follow her social media, I would recommend you do as she has just got the two cutest little cats ever, they are adorable!

I have found it challenging to pick my favourite video but one of her most recent videos that I enjoyed was ‘SPEND MY PERIOD WEEK WITH ME....🙅🏼‍♀️🍔’

I feel that this is such girly related content and is a relatable video for a girl, she just tells/shows things as they are and doesn’t feel embarrassed by them. She may have forgotten her money in the drive-through, but that’s reality and I am sure it is something we have all done at least once in our lives! It is such wholesome content like most of her videos are and I just love it.

To conclude this blog post I would say Dad V Girls being my first favourite and then Molly-Mae would be my second favourite. However, I love all these YouTubers in their own way, and I hope and pray they keep making their amazing content!
